Aims and Scope

Excellence in vascular biology and microcirculation

Founded in 1964, the Journal of Vascular Research provides a platform of rigorous, cutting-edge research in vascular and microvascular biology, physiology, and pathophysiology for basic science and translational researchers. Clinicians with impactful clinical trials and observations regarding the vasculature are also welcome. The scope of the journal covers a broad spectrum of vascular and lymphatic research, including structure, function, hemodynamics, mechanics, cell signaling, intercellular communication, development, growth, and differentiation. Methodological advances in any of these areas are additionally covered by the Journal of Vascular Research. The Journal of Vascular Research is the official journal of the European Society of Microcirculation. A biennial prize is awarded to the authors of the best paper published in the journal over the previous 2 years.
