Skin Pharmacology and Physiology
Details
Aims and Scope
The venue for research on new drugs and therapeutic concepts
Topical therapies are the main interest of this journal that seeks submissions of original papers and systematic reviews in pharmacological aspects of the skin and skin physiology. Modulation of the epidermis (e.g. epidermal barrier function), exogenous influences on skin functions, studies of skin physiology (if performed with non-invasive instruments), and the study of the regulatory pathways involved in skin penetration of topical formulations through in vivo and in vitro models are invited. Studies with well-characterized active ingredients performed on animals will not be accepted but may be eligible if specific pathways or modes of action with little or no published data are studied. Systemic treatment studies on epidermal functions and innovative approaches to methodology, skin pharmacology or clinically relevant problems and cosmetic studies with relevant effects on skin physiology and an appropriate control (i.e. placebo, not comparison to baseline) may be submitted.Bibliographic Details
